The Long Walk, a charity inspired by Essendon great Michael Long, helps raise awareness of issues faced by indigenous Australians and Torres Strait Islanders such as health, wellbeing and life opportunities.
The Adelaide Women’s Luncheon is running for the second time celebrating the achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women in Australia.
Special guests of the luncheon will include Bonita Mabo, land rights activist and widow of Eddie Mabo, Eva Knowles Johnson, an indigenous playwright and Khatija Thomas who is the South Australian Commissioner for Aboriginal engagement.
Tables of ten can be booked for the luncheon and if you can't make it then it is possible to donate seats to the event for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women who have limited funds available.
The event will also include fundraising through raffles and a silent auction with all funds raised being donated to The Long Walk Cultural Exchange.
Having been a great success in the past, The Long Walk Women’s Luncheon in Adelaide will be a very enjoyable and inspirational experience for all the ladies present.
