Darcy Parish has been ruled out of Friday night's clash with St Kilda after failing to recover from a corked calf suffered in round 13 against Carlton.

The prolific on-baller laboured through the Bombers' loss to the Blues after suffering the knock at the opening centre bounce, finishing with just 10 disposals and being subbed out in the third quarter.

Essendon coach Ben Rutten confirmed on Thursday morning that Parish wouldn't be considered to face the Saints.

However, the Bombers will regain defender Andrew McGrath after he missed the Carlton loss with a calf problem.

Essendon will release its full line-up at 6:20pm AEST today.
