Essendon Football Club is delighted to announce that it has surpassed the 80,000 member milestone for the second consecutive year.

Closing in on last year’s total of 81,662 members, the club’s tally is currently 80,029.

Chief Executive Officer Xavier Campbell said the club was grateful to its loyal members for their support throughout 2022 and the past 150 years.

“After two years impacted by the pandemic, it’s been incredible to have our members and supporters back at stadiums and games this year and see them out in full force.” Campbell said.

“This milestone is a reflection on our members and their loyal support, cheering on from all around the country.

“We have enjoyed celebrating our 150th year anniversary with the Bomber family. From the regional country tour across the country to the game against Carlton to our Gala Dinner, it's been a special milestone that has highlighted the importance of our fans throughout our history.

“It’s an exciting new era for the club with our AFLW team starting their inaugural season in August, and in our men’s program, we have a core group of young players who have significant potential and will be the future of our club.

“Finally, thank you to every single one of our Bombers’ members who has gotten behind us in 2022, we are grateful and appreciative for your support.”
