""The great thing about it is this (the Bombers) is a product I really believe in,"" Brennan recently told the Bendigo Advertiser.
""I think it’s a part of Bendigo and the community and I look forward to growing that.
""I’ve always aspired to work full-time in football and when this position became available I was really keen to get it. Hopefully, everything I’ve learnt in the past will help me do this job successfully. I had a great time with Golden Square and I’m grateful for the opportunity the club gave me.
""But this is a career move and a great opportunity to go to a club, in the second-best competition in Australia, that I believe has a big future in our community.""
In other news from Bendigo, the Club received a major off-field boost with news Metricon will remain major sponsor the Club for 2008.
On the playing front, the Bendigo Bombers will be looking to replace some experience with a number of senior players departing the Club.
Nick Carter has retired while last season’s captain Simon Rosa has headed interstate. Jason Cloke is another departure, returning to play for Williamstown.
""We have kept James Flaherty, Jarrod Atkinson and Tim Plummer which is important and also recruited a big bloke from North Shore in Sydney called David Martin who is a 205cm ruckman,"" Bendigo Bombers coach Adrian Hickmott said.
""Former Adelaide Crow, Hayden Skipworth, will also reutrn from injury after missing most of last season so he will be a big inclusion.
""The four new Essendon recruits in David Myers, Tayte Pears, Cale Hooke and Darcy Daniher will also spend time with Bendigo which will be good for their development and the team.""
Make sure you guarantee yourself a seat at all Essendon home matches next season by purchasing an annual reserved seat by this Friday 7th December. An annual reserved seat is the perfect compliment to your 2008 match day membership due to all of Essendon’s home games at the Dome being ticketed matches, which mean you must have a seat to enter.
