Essendon Football Club made two changes to its list during the 2018 NAB AFL Trade Period.

The Club’s first round pick was traded to GWS in exchange for Dylan Shiel and Travis Colyer was traded to Fremantle in exchange for a fourth round selection in the 2019 National Draft.

Essendon GM List and Recruiting, Adrian Dodoro, said Shiel is a good fit for the club.

“Dylan is a great addition to Essendon’s list and he will provide another element to the group, as he is a strong-bodied midfielder and great ball winner,” Dodoro said.

“He is an exceptional young talent that shows professionalism across all aspects of the game.

“Dylan is a class player and they are hard to find, we are extremely happy to have secured him.

“We are looking forward to seeing him run out next year in the red and black.”

Essendon will enter next month’s 2018 NAB AFL Draft with three picks.

As it stands, the Bombers will enter the draft in round two, with pick 34 followed by pick 66 and 84.

With the introduction of live trading, Essendon has the option to trade picks with other clubs throughout the draft.

The National Draft will take place on November 22 and 23 at Marvel Stadium.

The Club has now made the following changes to its list;

Traded: Travis Colyer (Fremantle)

De-listed – Brendon Goddard, Jackson Merrett and Josh Green

Recruited – Dylan Shiel
