The disappointment of a shock loss to Carlton last Friday night has been compounded with news that star full forward Matthew Lloyd will front the tribunal tomorrow night. Lloyd was reported on video evidence by umpire Stephen McBurney for allegedly striking Bret Thornton at the start of the first quarter of last Friday night's game. Paul Barnard will also face the tribunal after being charged with allegedly striking Simon Wiggins.
All Australian defender Sean Wellman will have his dislocated finger assessed today by the surgeon. At this stage it is not known if the Bombers’ vice captain will require surgery on the finger that he injured in the third quarter of the match against Carlton on Friday night. According to Fitness Coach John Quinn even if Wellman does have surgery he may only miss one week.
