Midfielder Zach Merrett and defender Jordan Ridley have both earned nine votes apiece for their phenomenal performances in Essendon's round 12 win over North Melbourne.

Merrett was a force in the middle on Sunday, accumulating 34 disposals, eight clearances and two goals to continue his rampant form in 2023 and sit fourth in the current AFLCA standings.
