Midfielder Sophie Molan has taken out Essendon's 2023 VFLW best and fairest award on Friday night.

Molan made immediate impact upon joining the Bombers this season and provided her best performances in big games, also claiming Best Finals Player honours on the night.

Averaging nearly 22 disposals over her final five games, Molan charged up the leaderboard late to seal the award.

Molan's midfield partner Grace Dicker capped off a strong campaign with a runner-up finish, followed by defender Bella Clarke in third place after a consistent campaign.

Co-captains Courtney Ugle and Mia-Rae Clifford also went home with full hands, Ugle securing Best Club Person and Don of the Year, while Clifford won the leading goal kicker award.

Emerging midfielder Reese Sutton claimed the Most Valuable Young Player award after a promising campaign.

Long-time volunteer and former club employee Mark Lanham claimed the Liberty Legend award for his unwavering commitment and support for the club's VFLW program.
