Ryder is in his fourth year at Windy Hill and is yet to see September action, while Lloyd is nearing the end of a long and distinguished career, and counts the 2000 flag among his many achievements.
But Ryder said the skipper was one of the most vocal in pushing the side to be the best it could be, and the team was looking to get those players near the end of their careers another finals series.
"We haven't played finals for a while, and Lloydy's been harping on it at training, and we just want to play finals to reward those guys, and reward ourselves with a win and play in a few finals," he said after training on Friday.
"This is probably the biggest [game he's played] seeing as there's finals riding on it so we're looking forward to it.
"It's a massive game for us – I've been here for four years now and haven't seen finals, so we just want to get in there and have a crack."
The Bombers beat the Saints two weeks ago before crashing back to earth last weekend when the Dockers took them apart.
But 21-year-old said the team wasn't being affected by outside influences as they worked towards September.
"All the boys are feeling well and we don't really care what the press say about us," he said.
"We've got belief that our players can match it with all the better sides, and we've shown that against St Kilda and the Hawks, early on in the year, and we've just got to be switched on and come out firing.
"They're the top side, and the boys seemed to match it with them, and at one stage there were absolutely right on top of them, so the boys took a lot of belief out of it and it's good for them going forward."
The loss of Buddy Franklin is a massive blow for the Hawks, but Ryder said he wasn't the only dangerous player the 2008 premiers boasted.
"He's capable of kicking 15 goals in a match, so that'll be a lot easier for us, and I think Dustin (Fletcher) and the boys in the backline will be happy he's not down there," he said.
"But they've still got a lot of great players in their team that we've got to worry about, so it's good that Buddy's not there, but someone could step up and to the same thing that he does."
