A starring performance from Bonnie Toogood has claimed the Essendon forward a perfect 10 coaches’ votes from the win over Fremantle.

Finishing with 21 disposals, nine tackles and two critical goals, Toogood was key in the Bombers’ second-half blitz that led to their 20-point victory.

The 25-year-old has now shot up to ninth on the overall AFLCA AFLW Champion Player of the Year leaderboard, with 22 votes after four rounds.

Joining Toogood in the votes was emerging ruck Stephanie Wales, who polled six votes after tallying 19 disposals, 14 hit-outs and five clearances in a dominant display.   

Utility Sophie Alexander continued her dynamic start to the season, collecting four votes after grabbing 17 disposals and six marks.

Maddy Prespakis now sits equal 10th in the overall standings after polling another two votes, leading all comers in disposals on the day with 22.
