Some of the fan’s comments:

“A great player in the second's. Will turn into a good player in the future given time., Dean Miller

“Not up to it. Had opportunity but ducked his head going for a mark on Anzac Day and never recovered. Disappointing that he did not build on last years experience,” Ross Jones

“Light frame, needs to work on his body before being a successful player. Skills OK, but didn't take advantage of the limited opportunities presented to him,” Zed Sanjana

“Has got to be confident in kicking the ball, too many handballs, rather see him getting a few kicks, would also like to see him play 7-20 games next year,” David Mitchell

“Expecting big things from this kid. Another that wasn't really given a chance during the season, but watch out for him next year,” Matt Trevaskis

“Looks like a promising young player. He will get better with time,” Katrina Maddigan

“Not played enough games to rate highly but do not trade him. Has dash and heart and will mature into a handy member of the team,” Neil Poyner

“Deprived of chances in the senior team. Played well in the reserves with a few big bags. Must put on a few kilos over the summer to gain a regular senior spot. One to keep an eye on over the next few years,” Michael Polatajko.

THE WASH UP

Fans found Bannister’s season difficult to assess since he spent the majority of his time in the VFL side. Most felt he showed glimpses when playing senior football but felt he needed to build up physically to maintain his place and have an impact.

MARK HARVEY SAYS

The fans have probably rated Jordan a little bit on expectations but that comes with playing AFL football. Jordan has got to understand what his strengths and weaknesses are and train accordingly. He is an excellent runner with great endurance and a fine mark but there are aspects of his game that he needs to do better. It is in your second and third year when you earn your reputation and next year will be Jordan’s third – he needs to have an impact. Having said that, he hasn’t looked out of place when in the seniors.
