Mid-season draftee Saad El-Hawli will be a chance to make his return from injury this weekend.
El-Hawli has been sidelined since injuring his syndesmosis back in round 11 of the VFL season. After booting four goals from 27 disposals on the day, he had his ankle pinned underneath him in a late contest during the narrow comeback win over Carlton’s VFL side.
Pending he gets through training without issue this week, the 23-year-old will return to play this weekend.
As reported on Monday afternoon, winger Xavier Duursma will miss the next 3-4 weeks from a hamstring injury suffered in the final term of last week’s thrilling one-point win over Fremantle.
Experienced pair Jordan Ridley and Matt Guelfi each remain two weeks away in their respective injury recoveries.
