Archie Perkins and Elijah Tsatas are expected to be available for selection for Essendon’s Saturday night Gather Round clash against Melbourne at Adelaide Oval.
The young midfielders missed the round three win over Port Adelaide with respective quad and hand injuries, however both have now returned to full training following the early season bye.
Peter Wright will also return to play this weekend following a reintegration into full training, having overcome an ankle ligament strain sustained in a VFL practice match ahead of round one.
In further positive news, experienced midfielder Darcy Parish is in line for some match minutes when Essendon VFL take on Box Hill in a practice match at the NEC Hangar on Saturday morning, beginning at 10am AEST.
A timeframe of return has been revealed for Jye Caldwell after his hamstring strain at training last week, with the gun midfielder expected to miss the next four weeks.
Nik Cox is back in full training, recovering well from the concussion symptoms that have halted his training since December, while Kyle Langford is aiming to return for Anzac Day as he progresses from a hamstring injury.
