Good news for the Bombers this afternoon with Sean Wellman and Scott Lucas getting through training. The pair are certain inclusions in the Bomber line-up to take on Fremantle this Saturday at Subiaco. Essendon trained for 90 minutes in preparation for its round six clash. The Bombers are hoping to get back on the winners list after winning only one of its past three matches. Bomber coach Kevin Sheedy said he intends to make a few changes to the team that was defeated by Collingwood on Anzac Day.

Q. Are you worried about the Subiaco surface?
A. Not at all - we probably play on a pretty similar surface at Colonial. The MCG is probably a slightly different surface in grass but Colonial and Subiaco are similar.

Q. What do you think about the spate in knee injuries?
A. There is no one reason - every gets injuries. We are worried about getting over there and playing well - playing our best footy.

Q. How do you think Fremantle are going?
A. Their form has been up and down - they played very well two weeks ago against Richmond. It is pretty hard to judge, like us - we played well against Adelaide and very poor in the wet weather against Collingwood. We probably at one stage played three games in 11 or 12 days. It has been good for us to have the extra break this week.

Q. You received criticism during the week about your lack of strategy in the wet weather - does that offend you personally?
A. We didn't play well in the wet let alone have any strategy. Wet weather footy is pretty basic - but we just tried to play dry weather footy in wet weather which was pretty dumb.

Q. In part do you disregard the result because of the conditions?
A. I won't be taking a hell of a lot out of that game because it was a one off. We haven't played wet weather footy for seven months.
