Essendon are close to regaining Darcy Parish, with the midfielder due to return to full training this week ahead of a return to play next week.
After a lengthy layoff, Parish will initially return via the VFL to gain some game exposure. However with a VFL bye this week, his return has been pushed back to next week as he works towards a return to the AFL team in the coming weeks.
Jade Gresham will continue his recovery from a minor adductor strain sustained in round eight, and is set to be available for selection against Richmond for Dreamtime at the 'G.
Having pulled up with some foot soreness following the weekend’s VFL game against Sydney, a scan has revealed a bone stress injury to first year defender Jayden Nguyen. His return-to-play timeline will be determined following further scans this week.
As reported on Sunday, Lewis Hayes suffered an injured ACL in his AFL debut against Sydney over the weekend and will miss the remainder of the 2025 season.
The 20-year-old is set to undergo surgery on his left knee next week – the Club will provide more details on his recovery as he works through the next steps with his surgeon.
A timeframe will become clearer for Harry Jones in the wake of his dislocated ankle once he is able to tolerate running loads.
