Essendon VFL has named its side to face Brisbane at Brighton Homes Arena on Friday afternoon.

The Dons will unveil mid-season draftee Liam McMahon and Calder Cannons NGA prospect Hussein El-Achkar in their first games for the Club, with McMahon set to slot into the side's defence alongside Will Hoare.

Jack Peris also returns to the line-up alongside this year's VFL signings in Jordan Busuttil and Riley Leedham.

Having just been listed as an AFL player with the Dons, Oskar Smartt again brings his dynamic play to the forward half.

Injuries from last week (Saad El-Hawli, Nic Quigg and Cam Nyko) have made for three forced changes, while Elijah Tsatas and Zak Johnson have been elevated to the AFL side.

Essendon VFL take on Brisbane from 12:05pm on Friday, with streaming available via the AFL app and website.
