Nic Martin has been named Essendon's Liberty Player of the Month for rounds 10-13.

The 24-year-old has starred all season long but especially so over the last four matches, where he's averaged 30 disposals per game and booted multiple goals on two occasions.

Martin's brilliant 35-disposal, two-goal outing in the Dreamtime at the 'G win over Richmond added another accolade to his career in the form of the Yiooken Medal, capping off arguably his most complete performance of the year to date.

On the road against Brisbane the following week, Martin was instrumental in keeping the Dons afloat against one of the flag favourites, snaring another two goals from 29 touches and continuing his terrific form.

King's Birthday Eve gave further evidence of Martin's big-game credentials, racking up 32 disposals and slotting a composed goal late in the game as the Dons attempted to run down an early Blues lead.

A fresh addition to the Club's leadership group this year, Martin has only reiterated his standing as a star of the competition, capable of impacting across all three lines for a side that's had to shuffle the magnets around at different stages of the season to date.

Martin joins key defender Zach Reid and skipper Zach Merrett as winners of the Liberty Player of the Month award so far in 2025, putting him in the running for the year-end award.
