Archie Roberts has been named Essendon's Liberty Player of the Month for rounds 14-18.
At 19 years of age, Roberts has truly solidified his place within the squad and brings consistency to the side.
Playing all 17 matches in the 2025 season so far, the young defender has had some career highlights, most notably earning a Rising Star nomination in Gather Round against the Demons.
Starting strong in rounds 14-17, Roberts averaged 24 disposals and 12 kicks across the three rounds. Although the Dons didn't walk away with any wins, Roberts was a consistent and reliable contributor.
Essendon's clash against the Tigers was undoubtedly the highlight of Roberts' award-winning stint.
Achieving an equal team high for the Dons alongside skipper Zach Merrett, Roberts bagged an outstanding 31 disposals at 87 per cent in a tight clash which saw the Dons just miss out on the win.
Roberts joins Zach Reid, Zach Merrett and Nic Martin as winners of the Liberty Player of the Month award so far in 2025, putting him in the running for the year-end award.
