Essendon has put an end to its three game losing streak with a convincing 78-point over Richmond. The victory looked in serious doubt in the first half, but a 17 goal to four second half set-up Essendon’s ninth win for the season. Matthew Lloyd was brilliant up forward and kicked nine for the match. The victory was soured with injuries to James Hird and Scott Lucas in the second quarter.
