Essendon’s AFLW contingent is readying for another special occasion on Sunday as the Club celebrates the annual Pride Round against Brisbane on home deck.
In anticipation of the Windy Hill fixture, the Dons opened the week with a Pride Party amongst players and staff on Tuesday afternoon in the Essendonians event space.
The Club continues to share a strong affiliation with its Purple Bombers support group, a longstanding partnership that dates back to 2014 as the official diversity and inclusion group for the Dons faithful.
In assistance with the group, this year’s Pride guernsey was unveiled last week and will once again be worn at 1:05pm on Sunday when the Bombers front up against the Lions.
