Scans on Monday morning cleared Zach Reid of a hamstring strain after the defender sat out the final quarter of Sunday night’s match against the Western Bulldogs.

Angus Clarke sustained a stress fracture to his foot after reporting discomfort during the first half of Sunday’s VFL match against Footscray.

Harry Jones suffered a calf strain in the first quarter of the VFL match and will be assessed further in the coming days to have a clearer return-to play timeline. 

Brayden Fiorini remains under assessment by the Club’s medical team after experiencing ongoing lower back pain and tightness. 

On Thursday night, Essendon will name its side for the Gather Round clash against Melbourne.
