Essendon Football Club has accepted a one‑week suspension and a $600 fine for Kayle Gerreyn following two separate incidents during Sunday's VFL match against the Bulldogs.

After accepting an early plea, the sanction was reduced to a one‑match suspension which means Gerreyn will not be available for selection this weekend against Melbourne.

Gerreyn will be available for selection next week against the Gold Coast SUNS.
