After a string of pre-season and regular season fixtures at the NEC Hangar, Essendon VFL will make a return to Windy Hill this Saturday.

Their 2:05pm fixture against Williamstown sees the side christen the Club's original home for the first time in 2026, gunning to bump their record up to 3-3 after a very narrow defeat to the Pies in a shootout last week.

Going into last week with 11 AFL-listed players, the Bombers will again be boosted with senior experience as Mason Redman slots back into action from his early-season knee injury, his first appearance since round two.

Irish recruit Cillian Bourke has rebounded from a pair of pre-season injury setbacks to make his VFL debut for the Club in another exciting watch - the 190cm prospect impressed throughout his junior Gaelic career and was a physical standout upon being invited to the Combine for testing last year.

The Bombers have shaped as one of the VFL's most exciting outfits in the opening weeks despite a mixed bag of results - the shuffling of Nik Cox and Jayden Nguyen to the forward half has added flexibility, while Huss El Achkar lit up the scoreboard last week with 4.3 of his own coming back from illness.

34 goals in two weeks has showcased the Dons' scoring capability, even with noted forwards Tyler Sellers and Kayle Gerreyn moving down back to solid effect.

The experience and leadership of VFL-listed duo of Jackson Hately and Xavier O'Neill has again been at the forefront this season, with new pickup Kristian Ferronato (formerly GWS VFL) providing even more of an inside presence to the midfield mix this season.

Archie Perkins (24 disposals) and Will Setterfield (25 disposals) are both working into nice form via the VFL program with strong outings last week. Proven goalkicker Liam McMahon (three majors) is also beginning to hit his stride in the campaign.

The clash with the Seagulls will be streamed live on the AFL app and website.
