Essendon wishes to congratulate Senior Coach Brad Scott on being inducted into the Brisbane Lions Hall of Fame on Saturday night.
Scott received the honour at the Lions’ annual event in Melbourne - the night before his 50th birthday - reward for a 146-game stint in Brisbane which held two Grand Final wins from their three-peat dynasty.
Amidst his integral role in Brisbane's most successful era, he represented Australia in the 2002 International Rules series and was also third in the Best and Fairest (Merrett/Murray Medal) in that same Premiership year.
Despite falling short of the 150-game prerequisite at the Club, he was still recognised with Life Membership by Brisbane's Board in a reflection of his impact as a player, person and a ringleader for the uncompromising style of play his sides were renowned for in the early 2000s.
Scott now joins his twin brother Chris in a highly-regarded, prestigious Hall of Fame group at the Lions.
