Essendon’s VWFL stars have topped off another terrific season with a number of accolades at the league’s end of season celebration.

For the second year running, gun Bomber Caleb Logan – Essendon’s 2019 best and fairest – was selected as one of just eight members of the team of the year, this time joined by club captain Louis Rowe who was also given the honour as skipper.

Logan polled 16 votes to claim sixth place in the league’s best and fairest count, finishing seven adrift of eventual winner Chris Henderson from Richmond. Fellow goalscoring Don Anthony Perito was on his heels with 15 votes to finish in equal-seventh place.

The entire team was also honoured with the AFL Values Award, which is a peer-voted award aimed at recognising the club that best represents the AFL values of Play to Win, Play with Passion, Play Fair, and Play as One Team.
