Talented Adelaide free agent Zoe Prowse has officially joined Essendon after a trade was facilitated on Wednesday afternoon.

The Bombers gave picks No.13, No.60 and a future third round selection to the Crows in exchange for Prowse, pick No.50 and a future fourth round selection.

22-year-old Prowse becomes a Bomber after five seasons with the Crows as one of the competition’s most solid young defensive prospects.

At 177cm, Prowse’s range and versatility have made her a difficult opponent to match down back – having won Adelaide’s Best Defensive Player in 2023 and 2024, she’s also shown capability in multiple positions as far back as the U19 National Championships in 2021, where she was named ruck in the All-Australian side.

Prowse was named in the 22under22 side for a consistent 2024 campaign and has continued to earn plaudits as a reliable performer in a Crows outfit accustomed to big games – already, 10 of her 47 career matches to date have come under the pressure of finals football.
