Old rivals Essendon and Carlton will take centre stage at the MCG for the annual King’s Birthday Eve blockbuster this Sunday.

Few match-ups capture the spirit and history of the game like Essendon v Carlton, but on Sunday the teams will pay respect to a legend bigger than the game in the late great Neale Daniher.

Together with FightMND, we will host a pre-game ceremony to Freeze the ‘G, a moment dedicated to celebrating Neale's extraordinary legacy and raising awareness for Motor Neurone Disease.

Fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 7:10pm to take part in an immersive pre-game experience featuring a moving sound and light show that brings the stadium together in a shared moment of reflection and support.

Then, as Neale has always inspired us to, we’ll Play On.

It's an event shining a light on MND, to keep driving awareness, and to keep pushing towards a cure. So join us as we celebrate Neale and stand united in the fight against MND.
