An update on the injury front leading into round 21.
Essendon will welcome back Nick Bryan for their clash with Adelaide this Sunday.
The ruckman missed last week’s defeat to Hawthorn due to ongoing soreness from the previous week, but has recovered well and is expected to take his place in the side.
Tom Edwards will also be available to play this week after the forward’s successful recovery from a lengthy layoff with a hamstring injury.
As noted on Sunday, Sullivan Robey will miss from a partial medial ligament tear in his knee, with a return-to-play timeline to become clearer after this week's rehab.
Jordan Ridley will also sit out this week due to a sprain of the Lisfranc joint in his foot. His return-to-play will be guided by how quickly the joint settles, which will determine when he can resume running.
