As part of the lead in to the club's Community Game being this weekend against the Swans at the MCG, players and staff took part in a Discovering Islam workshop led by Bachar Houli and the Bachar Houli Foundation, all part of the AFL's Cultural heritage Series.

The session provided an opportunity to learn more about Islam through education, while connecting with our players of Muslim faith and the broader Muslim community.

The workshop explored the foundations of Islam, while also helping players and staff better understand the distinction between culture and religion.

By developing a greater understanding of beliefs and practices, the club can continue to share the responsibility of creating a culturally safe and inclusive environment for everyone.
