Essendon's AFLW squad has been confirmed for round one, where they'll face reigning Grand Finalists Brisbane in a massive clash at Windy Hill.

The Bombers have already announced two league debutants in Maggie Johnstone and Nalu Brothwell, while former Crow Zoe Prowse lines up in defence for the first time as a Don.

Bonnie Toogood leads the line up forward in her 75th AFLW game and her first as sole skipper of the Club.

Get down to Windy Hill from 12:35pm AEST on Sunday as the red and black open their campaign.

The final team will be announced at 5pm on Friday.
