Essendon's VWFL Championship side takes on the Hawks this weekend with the opportunity to secure the club's first piece of silverware in the division.

Sunday's Grand Final will be a particularly meaningful occasion for James Leonard and Caleb Logan, who have been part of our VWFL program since its inception in 2018.

After falling short in the club's last Grand Final appearance in 2022, both have played a key role in the team's journey back to the biggest stage and will be hoping to go one step further and finally lift the premiership cup.

The Bombers Community Team will be chasing back-to-back premierships when they face the Tigers on Sunday.

The sides met just two weeks ago, with our team edging out the Tigers by less than two goals in a tightly contested match. That result highlighted just how well matched these teams are, and we're fully aware of the challenge that awaits.

Luke Cameron has been in outstanding form, slotting 20 majors across his last two games, and will be a key player to watch. Equally important has been the return of Jordan Kinniburgh in defence. His leadership, experience and ability to organise those around him have been invaluable, making him a crucial part of the group's success and the glue that holds the backline together.

No tickets are required to attend, with both Grand Final matches taking place at La Trobe Sports Stadium, Bundoora (Court 2).
