A significant milestone awaits Zoe Prowse this weekend, with the Essendon defender set to run out for her 50th AFLW game when the Bombers face Richmond in Darwin.
Drafted in 2021 with pick 17 to Adelaide, Prowse made her debut in round 10 against the Saints back in 2022 and played the first 47 games of her career with the Crows, establishing herself as one of the competition’s most promising key defenders before making the move to Essendon for the 2026 season.Â
Prowse, a two-time Adelaide Best Defensive Player award winner in 2023 and 2024 has quickly established herself into the Bombers’ defence, adding experience to the young Essendon backline.
Zoe was also named in the AFLPA’s 22under22 team after a strong 2024 campaign.
Just three games into her Bombers career, Prowse will reach the half-century mark in the red and black, adding another milestone to what has already been an impressive AFLW journey to date.
The milestone comes as the Bomber’s prepare for the marquee match in Darwin on Sunday night for the annual AFLW Dreamtime clash.
