The Essendon Football Club recently welcomed students, families and school communities from across Victoria to The NEC Hangar for the Bachar Houli Cup Grand Finals.
The Bachar Houli Cup is a national schools football program delivered across five states for Islamic primary and secondary schools.
Established to foster positive connections among young Muslims and support their transition into community sport, the program helps break down cultural and religious barriers while creating opportunities for young people both on and off the field.
Since its inception, the Bachar Houli Cup has engaged more than 8,000 participants from over 30 schools, making it one of the country's most impactful multicultural sporting programs.
As host venue for this year's Victorian Grand Finals, The Hangar welcomed six girls' and six boys' teams competing across three age divisions
