Essendon will regain Maddi Gay for Friday's AFLW clash with the Eagles at Windy Hill.

The Grand Final Eve public holiday clash marks the defender's first game since suffering a shoulder injury in round two, adding a key pillar behind the footy for the Bombers.

Madi Ibrahim has been omitted from the side this week.

Friday's clash gets underway from 12:05pm AEST.
