After pulling up sore following Saturday afternoon’s game, further assessment has confirmed that Taya Chambers has sustained bone stress in her lower back, ruling her out for the remainder of the season.

Maddy Prespakis was cleared of any calf damage after being assessed in the final quarter of Saturday’s match against GWS GIANTS.

She was attended to for a cork and continued to play the rest of the game.

Sophie Alexander (back) and Daria Bannister (knee soreness) both made successful returns from their respective injuries.

Essendon will now take on the Western Bulldogs in the opening week of Pride Round at Mission Whitten Oval, with the game commencing at 7:15pm (AEDT).
