Essendon has been forced to make at least two changes to its side ahead of its clash with traditional rival Carlton at the MCG on Sunday.

Hamstring injuries have forced star pair Jake Stringer and Dylan Shiel to the sidelines, with six Bombers joining the mix to take the field after being added to the extended squad.

Draftee Irving Mosquito has put his hand up for a senior debut after a string of strong performances in the VFL, while fellow forwards Mitch Brown and Mark Baguley are also a chance to return to the senior side.

Ruckman Zac Clarke, versatile defender Jordan Ridley and prolific ball-winner Dylan Clarke round out the possible inclusions.
