Essendon faces a happy selection dilemma this week with almost all seniors players available, including Leroy Jetta and Courtenay Dempsey. The fleet-footed duo are pushing to make their return to football after battling injury woes and have added significantly to the Bomber's depth.

However, considering the first-class form displayed by the Bomber line-up against Sydney last weekend, there is a strong chance Jetta and Dempsey will line-up with the Bendigo Bombers in order to earn their place in the senior team.

Jetta has been out of action for six weeks with groin soreness after debuting for Essendon in Round one and playing four consecutive games. Dempsey is yet to play a senior game this year.

According to Essendon Fitness CoachJoel Hocking, both players are travelling along well and are very likely to return this week.

""Dempsey is tracking well to play the Queens Birthday weekend and Jetta is looking the same,"" Hocking explained.

""They have got through all of their rehabilitation type training and we are looking to put them into skills on Wednesday.""

The remainder of the Essendon team is also tracking well with only four players remaining on the injury list should Dempsey and Jetta play this weekend.

""Usually at this time in the year we have about six to eight players out with injury heading into the mid-season break but, considering we have two guys going back in and to then have only three or four blokes out, is extremely good,"" Hocking said.

""Jay Neagle is probably only another two weeks away and at this stage we are just graduating his running up so he can get close enough to push up for Bendigo selection.

""Nathan Lovett-Murray is also coming along well and he is doing straight line skills at the moment. We have taken advice from a specialist in NSW and we are optimistic of Lovett Murray's chances of resuming within the next 2 weeks.

""And Andrew Lovett is pain-free in his knee now so we are just pushing his running back up so he can work his way back into the team. The key issue with Lovett is giving the knee that he hurt in training enough time to heal properly. This cannot be rushed and as much as we'd love to have him now, the reality is that he will be out for another two to three weeks""
