The judging panel for the 2018 Yiooken Award has been announced ahead of Saturday night’s Dreamtime at the ‘G blockbuster.
Matthew Richardson, Gilbert McAdam and Samantha Lane have been given the responsibility of selecting the player judged to have been the best on ground in this year’s highly anticipated clash between Essendon and Richmond.
Members of the judging panel will award votes on a 3,2,1 basis. The player accumulating the most votes will be awarded the 2018 Yiooken Medal.
Matthew Richardson - Richmond legend and Australian Football Hall of Fame member.
Gilbert McAdam – Former St Kilda and Brisbane Bears player, 1989 Magarey Medallist.
Samantha Lane - Journalist, author and Channel Seven commentator.
