Emerging star Georgia Patrikios has led an exciting pair of VFLW Bombers who have achieved their dream at the 2019 NAB AFLW Draft on Tuesday.

Patrikios was swept up by St Kilda with selection No.5 following a standout year at VFLW, NAB League and NAB AFLW Under-18 Championship levels, while skilful teammate Krstal Petrevski was selected by Melbourne with pick No.78.

Patrikios played four games for the Dons this year and was named among the best players on all four occasions, including being named the team’s best player in three of those efforts to highlight her incredible ability.

Before claiming her senior opportunities late in the year, Patrikios was outstanding leading the Calder Cannons to a Grand Final appearance as captain and being named in the best in six of her nine games.

The classy midfielder was then a dominant force for premiership winner Vic Metro in the under-18 championships, claiming an All-Australian selection and the best and fairest award for the tournament after averaging 22.8 disposals, 4.5 tackles and 2.8 clearances.

Petrevski showed her sensational potential in three VFLW games in the red and black this season, remarkably sharing the lead at the club for total goal assists from her limited opportunities.

The talented youngster hailing from Halls Creek in Western Australia is the niece of Essendon’s emerging small forward Irving Mosquito and also put in eight strong appearances alongside Patrikios for the Cannons.
