How about that?! It was over 140 days since the boys last sang the song and following the six point win over Gold Coast on Sunday, it was sung with gusto.

The Bombers enjoyed a great afternoon at Etihad Stadium that saw some impressive scoring for the semi-final round of the AFL Fantasy competition.

David Zaharakis posted his highest score of the year thanks to racking up 40 disposals. As highlighted last week, he was a bargain buy for anyone needing a cheap midfielder. His 136 point game was the eighth highest for the round and Zaharakis’ top score of the year following a few lean weeks.

Standing in as skipper for the week, you would have been happy if you made Zach Merrett your Fantasy Captain as well. 127 points thanks to 38 disposals was an impressive bonus to go with his 100% winning record as the leader of the team.

Recent recruits Mathew Stokes, Mitch Brown and Craig Bird all scored over the Fantasy ton while Matt Dea was impressive with 86 points in his 50th AFL game.

In his debut, Jake Long was able to find the ball 13 times, take four marks and lay three tackles to tally 57 points. The son of the legendary Michael looked fantastic in his first game adding $12K to his starting price. If you’re looking for a downgrade this week, at $137,000 you have the flexibility of picking Long as a forward or midfielder to help grab some cash in order to maximise points this weekend.

Good luck in your preliminary finals in round 22 and go Bombers!
