There are no points on the line but they will all be very keen to make an early impact. A solid performance from any, or all of them, could see them selected for Essendon’s Wizard Cup opener against Fremantle in Darwin and take a serious step towards playing senior football in 2004. It is an excellent chance for Essendon supporters in Sydney to get an early look at the Bombers. For those of you who can't make it, there will be live scoring at essendonfc.com.au.
Ticket pricing will be $15 per adult, $10 student/pensioner and children under 14 will be admitted free. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketek on 0292664800. Gates open 1.00pm with the match timed to start at 3.30pm. There will be an autograph session held between 1.45pm and 2.25pm.
It is daunting starting a new job - meeting new people, discovering what your exact role is and proving yourself to your work colleagues. This has been the case for new recruits Matthew Allan, Mark Alvey and Justin Murphy and the good news is they have already fitted in well to their new club. All three have been training the house down and have not missed a session between them over the pre-season. Assistant coach Mark Harvey said the trio is in peak physical condition and he is expected big things from them this season.
