After struggling to contain its injury list to manageable levels for much of the season the Bombers have a clean bill of health going into round 21. The Bombers entire senior list is fit and available for selection this weekend - the first time this has been the case this season. ""Obviously this is the time of the season that you would like to have nobody on the injury list so it is very pleasing - hopefully it stays that way for the remainder of the season,"" Essendon football manager Matthew Drain said.
""Obviously you try and manage injuries during the season in the hope that you will have very few at the buisness end,"" Drain said. ""We had to make some tough decision with knee injuries this season. A number of players had arthroscopes instead of trying to play with injuries and they are now starting to get back to full fitness and play good football.""
Coming off the injury list this week are Jonathon Robran and Dean Wallis who have both got over hamstring problems. Damien Peverill will play a half in the VFL side after recovering from stress fractures in his feet. Josh Mahoney will return after suffering a broken jaw while Paul Barnard has been cleared of any major injury after copping a finger in the eye against Collingwood.
