Last week we asked which Bomber you think should get the job playing on Carlton's Chris Judd and Heath Hocking was the pick of the bunch with 43.41%, ahead of Mark McVeigh 22.92%, 'other' 12.58%, Brent Stanton 11.55%, Bachar Houli 5.88% and Sam Lonergan 4.67%.
Here’s what some of the fans had to say:
Joseph Attard from Taylors Hill says: Mark McVeigh without a doubt, if he plays. Spike did the job on him last year when we needed him to do it.
Jeremy from Victoria says: Heath Hocking has been very consistent for his first two games and I am very pleased with him. Give him a crack at Judd. I think he should do well!!
John from Greensborough says: I would like to see Andy Lovett run with Judd because Andy is getting a hard tag from opposition clubs. This might free him up as well as he could also hurt on the rebound. Be worth a try.
Mark from Broadmeadows says: After his stunning debut last week, I think we should give Zaharakis a go!!
Oliver from Eltham says: Give the job to Lonergan. With his toughness and determination he should be able to keep Judd's impact minimal.
Gerard from Essendon says: They should give Dyson first crack - he has the pace to stick with him and blanket him. This then frees up the more attacking midfielder for the Bombers.
Nick from Mount Waverley says: Whoever it is will have a tough job but Sam Lonergan is probably the best because he is so hard and tough.
Philip from Huntly, Victoria says: Heath Hocking will be able to shut down Judd, if Mark McVeigh is back this week then he needs no pressure put on him.
Brett Crabtree from Adelaide says: Would be a good lesson for Brent Stanton to play on Judd all night. The defensive side of Stanton’s game needs some work.
Katunga bomber from Katunga says: Give Heath a crack...We will need a few to keep up with Juddy. A team effort will get the job done.....We all love beating the blues.
Ro from Vic says: Think Lonergan should have first crack, tough hard running midfielder. If McVeigh had played the last two weeks he would be the only choice because he is easily capable of taking Judd apart
Ryan from Melbourne says: I gave Stanton my vote. The guy is an amazing player and deserves more credit for his hard work. He always keeps running till the end and I think he'd enjoy the challenge and responsibility of playing on Judd. I think it will fuel his engine and I think Stanton can take him on!!!
Mark from Victoria says: Heath Hocking this week, after an impressive round 2. Had Andrew Welsh been available for selection, he would surely be the man to go up against Judd. Here's to hoping whoever mans up against Judd does a good a job shutting him.
