Essendon Football Club is delighted to announce Paul Little will be joining the club’s Board effective from the Annual General Meeting.

Managing Director of Toll Group, Little is one of Australia’s most successful and respected businessmen.

Toll Group is the Asian region’s leading provider of integrated logistics services with annual revenue in 2010 in excess of AU$6.9 billion.
 

Essendon Chairman David Evans said to be able to attract someone of Paul Little’s calibre to the Board is a great opportunity for the Club.

“His experience in business, community projects, people management and his entrepreneurial spirit is something that the Club will really benefit from,” Evans said

“He brings great business acumen, a love for the club and a shared vision for creating long term success.”

A lifelong supporter over many years, Little’s wisdom and expertise will be invaluable to the Club as it embarks on an exciting new era both on and off the field.

Little, will replace the position vacated by Beverly Knight who has served 17 wonderful years on the Board.

“The move is consistent with my aim to bring some different skills sets to the Board to enhance our ability to achieve our long term goals,” Evans added.

Essendon Football Club has received nominations from six members for the two other elected positions on the Board this year.

The result of the election will be announced by the Club at the Annual General Meeting, Thursday, December 16th to be held at the Clocktower Centre commencing at 7.00pm.
