Senior-listed Dons Will Snelling and Brayden Ham headline Essendon VFL's inclusions for Sunday’s preliminary final meeting with Williamstown.

Snelling last appeared for the VFL Bombers in the qualifying final loss to Richmond, while Ham last played in the round 19 defeat to Footscray.

They are two of 15 senior-listed players to feature, which also includes last weekend’s match-winner Tuth Jok (half-back flank), versatile tall Michael Hartley (half-forward), and emerging defender Brandon Zerk-Thatcher (half-back).

Matt Dea, Ben McNiece, Jordan Ridley and Daniel Guccione make up the rest of the back six, while Josh Begley, Mark Baguley, Jordan Houlahan and David Myers will start up forward.

Vice-captains Heath Hocking and Danny Younan will start as ruck rovers, while skipper Aaron Heppell will start on the extended bench alongside additions Edyn Sibbald and Nick Dixon.

Young ruck Riley Bowman has been named the 23rd player.

The team will be finalised before the first bounce at 2:10pm.

A win against Williamstown would secure a Grand Final berth against either Richmond or Port Melbourne on Sunday, September 22 at Ikon Park.

If so, it would be Essendon’s first VFL/reserves Grand Final appearance since 1999.

Match updates will be available via Essendon VFL’s Twitter account, with all the action to be televised on Channel 7 and broadcasted on SEN 1116AM, Casey Radio and ABC Radio.

There will be a moment of silence pre-game, with players and officials to also wear black armbands in memory of the late Danny Frawley.
