As part of the club's broader Coles partnership, Essendon will run out this season with the support of Coles Insurance as its new AFL shorts partner and official insurance partner.

Coles Insurance offers quality car, home and landlord insurance for everyday Australians. The new partnership will provide Essendon members with a range of quality insurance products, offers and exclusive promotions, rewarding members for choosing Coles Insurance.

Coles Insurance means that members and fans get access to a lifetime guarantee on authorised repairs, cover from weather events as standard, an Australia-wide repairer network and ongoing rewards during the extent of their cover.

Essendon chief executive officer Xavier Campbell welcomed Coles Insurance to the club.

“On behalf of the club, I want to welcome Coles Insurance to the Essendon family,” Campbell said.

“This is an important partnership and we thank Coles Insurance for its support as we continue to face unprecedented and difficult times with respect to the challenges presented by the coronavirus to our industry and society more broadly.

“We are aligned in our values and business objectives, sharing a passion for making a purposeful contribution to our community.

“We look forward to working closely with Coles Insurance and the wider Coles organisation across our football club and community programs.”

The new partnership will see Coles Insurance don the sash for the Bombers’ upcoming 2020 campaign and follows Coles’ recent support of the Bombers' Indigenous pathways programs, The Long Walk and Dreamtime events, and the Powercor Country Festival between Essendon and Geelong.

Coles’ chief marketing officer Lisa Ronson said, "Essendon Football Club has a long, proud and successful history within Australian sport, and Coles Insurance is brought to you by the supermarket that has been trusted by Aussies for over 100 years and is backed by Australia’s largest insurer. We are therefore delighted to be bringing this partnership to life."
