Essendon players made a visit to the Royal Children’s Hospital yesterday afternoon ahead of the annual Good Friday Appeal.

Travis Colyer, Alex Browne and Michael Ross took time out to visit a number of sick children from across the state at the Royal Children’s Hospital - handing out teddy bears, posters and footballs to their new, young friends.

Young-gun Travis Colyer said the hospital visit was a rewarding experience.

“It was really great to meet the children who are facing some difficult challenges,” Colyer said.

“Especially ahead of the Easter period, it was the least we could do to try and put a smile on their faces.”

Michael Ross took to Twitter to voice his support for the Good Friday Appeal.

""Just went to the Royal Children's Hospital to visit some kids. Hopefully we made their day a bit brighter. Make sure you donate this year.""

Essendon Football Club wishes all its members and supporters a very happy and safe Easter period.
