Essendon has come through the Wednesday's Anzac Day clash against Collingwood in good shape with no fresh injuries resulting from the match. The players had their normal recovery session this morning which involved a short walk followed by a swim. And apart from the normal batch of bumps and bruises, the senior 22 were given a clean bill of health. ""It is a good position to be in given we now have a 10-day break before our match against West Coast at Colonial Stadium,"" Essendon football manager Matthew Drain said tonight.

Dean Rioli, a late withdrawal form Wednesday's game after failing a fitness test is certain to be available for the round six match against West Coast at Colonial Stadium. Rioli strained his hamstring against Port Adelaide in round two. ""He was very close to playing this week but the extra long break will mean he is certain to be available for our next game,"" Drain said.

Chris Heffernan is three weeks away from playing football and is almost certain to come back through the VFL side. Joe Misiti is steadily recovering after arthroscopic surgery and is another seven weeks away.
