The eight-part special starts with a look at 2000 draftee Jordan Bannister.
Jordan Bannister exceeded his own expectations in his first year of AFL footy by playing four senior games. Although the Gladstone Park youngster was rapt with his first year efforts he struggled to feel like a valuable member of the senior team. This feeling gave him the incentive to put in hard pre-season and work on improving his overall game.
Essendon slip from the top eight, Port slip-up against the Roos, the Dogs slip out of contention and the Blues slip another game adrift on the bottom. It was a round of mistakes for some sides while others, like Geelong - seven wins on the trot – and Hawthorn - four in a row -continue to build towards September. It’s shaping as a thrilling climax to the season.
