The Bombers official membership for season 2001 is a club record 36,227. This figure was officially submitted to the AFL this afternoon. ""It is a great result for the club. Members are an important part of the team and I'm sure they have enjoyed the entertainment season 2001 has provided thus far,"" Essendon marketing manager Mike McKenna said. Of the 36,227 members, 25,917 were adults, 4003 were concession members and 6307 were squadron or junior members. Of the total membership, 66% were male and 34% female.

This season the club also sold 18,280 annual reserved seats at Colonial Stadium. Of those, 15,304 were adults and 2976 were juniors. The club is still accepting membership applications.
